I went on a road trip recently, saw plenty of wonderful things. I don’t usually buy many souvenirs on vacation and this trip was no different. I did buy a toaster.
It’s a Farberware 295, thanks for asking. Looked on ebay and these spiffy model will catch up to fifty bucks. All the elements work perfectly. I know because today I tested it and Mr. Pilver announced, “It smells like an antique store is burning down!”
I still love my toaster.
That thing looks ancient, but as long as it works, go for it. My mother still has the same microwave that she had when I was a little kid and it works just fine. She’s never owned another one. This one isn’t digital and only has 2 dials. You turn one to set how many minutes (it maxes out at 30), and the other dial sets it to either “defrost” or “heat”. That’s it. That’s all you get.
Or dear, I find myself wanting to buy your mom’s microwave.
You’d have to pry it from her cold, dead hands. I’m pretty sure she wants to be buried with that thing.
Farberware! That’s a blast from the past. I haven’t owned a toaster in years(it’s been a toaster oven for a while now), and now I want toast that is actually toasted in a toaster. Just hearing the toast eject when it’s done would do.
I also read the title of this post in Cleveland’s(Family Guy) voice. If you are familiar with that, you will understand.
