I haven’t worked in 41 days. My last absence in employment was in 2001, when The Max came into the world. There’s substance in maintaining a routine. I miss it. I am, however, enjoying the freedom of creating my own daily to-dos. I’m discovering what I’d would do if I had all the time in the world. Also, I am learning what an entirely different lifestyle is like. Taking pictures of every small thing is an activity I have time for now. Getting enough sleep is the norm. Also:
You can have a favorite bathtub in the whole world.
You can not see people for years, and nearly pee laughing at the same things you laughed at before.
Cat’s with head trauma get morphine.
Getting your picture taken with Stacey Blades is funny. And you can enjoy any music in the world if you are with the right people.
You can email people you’ve lost, but it would have been better to say it all earlier.
My mountain climbing iPod play list is ever changing, but always has “The Final Countdown”.
It’s really easy to not go to Target, when you have no money.
I will never have the desire to do dishes, no matter how much free time I possess.

Then you should come visit. I need to meet your new baby too!
