Hi Kristiane,
I loved reading your memoir. Thank you for putting it on your blog. A very sweet story with a happy ending. I hope Max is still doing well and thriving. You will have to keep blogging to let us know how he’s doing.
I just finished a wonderful book called A Place To Belong. It’s by first-time author Paul Miller. he writes it as a memoir, fiction based on fact. It’s a story about a little boy who lives a horrendous childhood. Growing up in hatred and anger. He tells of his journey and those people who come across his path and what he learns from them. With a 50 year journey he becomes understanding and forgiving. He grew up hating his father. Then he realized he didn’t hate him, he just felt sorry for him.
The lesson I get from both stories is that with wonderful people in our lives we can be our best and highest selves.
Thank you Kristiane for being that person for Max.
Take care,
Mary :>)
I wonder if there’s a 46 fan club out there plotting my death.
doho- I only associate with you because of comments like that one.
Thanks Mary, I appreciate that and I will definitely check it out!
they played the theme song to this show and family ties on lovelines last nite. so funny!!!! seth mcfarlane was singing along to it and i was just dying driving home from work! you can probably listen to it on lovelines.com
Steph- Luckily I own the DVDs and get to hear it whenever I want 🙂 But thanks!
I’ve had a blog post of mine picked up by a fan forum once. Apparently, it amused them enough that they talked about it for several days. I got a real kick out of reading the responses to it. They were sort of laughing at it but it was more with me than at me.
My blog posts seem to get discussed on Spanish-speaking forums occasionally…and it’s too much work to use my inadequate Spanish skills to decipher what they’re talking about. I just take the use of smiley faces as indicators of positive feedback.
(I’m looking forward to reading your memoir post tomorrow at work)
wo- you can DO that!?
I’m gonna have to check that out- and let you know what kind of peopel I attract.
I’m kind of scared.
